Part-Time Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator MED-ZSFG-OCCM Part Time 82454BR Job Summary Under the supervision of a Clinical Research Supervisor or Principal Investigator (PI), the incumbent will perform entry-level duties related to the support and coordination of clinical studies, with a focus on managing responses to study advertisements and recruiting for studies in the African American community in the San Francisco Bay Area. The incumbent will receive training and development to prepare and advance for journey-level work at the next level within the series. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $28.48 - $45.80 (Hourly Rate). The mission of the Department is research (basic and clinical), teaching, patient care, and public service. The Department has a decentralized organizational structure across four sites (Parnassus, ZSFG, SFVAHCS, and Mt. Zion) and 41 divisions housing 613 faculty, 160 non-faculty academics, 382 residents/fellows, 92 post-docs, and 804 staff. Authority and accountability for the Department rest with the Department Chair who heads the Parnassus and Mt. Zion sites and also directs the Vice Chairs at the ZSFG and SFVAHCS sites. Schick Lab studies the health effects of air pollution, with a focus on secondhand tobacco and cannabis smoke. We go out to public places where people are using cannabis and collect data and samples of the air pollutants (field research). We also recruit healthy nonsmokers, expose them to air pollution and assess the health effects (clinical research). Required Qualifications
