Responsibilities
Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Cook ($18 - $23/hour DOE) in our Inpatient Hospital. Responsibilities include preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base rate of pay and minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two (2) years of recent experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler's permit is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful. Training: Successful completion of Handle with Care and Service Excellence training. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. This position has regular interaction with our in psychiatric inpatient population and requires respectful, calm, and professional communication with our patients that follows therapeutic care boundaries.
