Job Description

Ensure proper set up of meeting and Banquet facilities by communicating effectively through supervisors and house persons to associates and handling guest's request on the floor.



Responsibilities

    Directly responsible for the daily supervision of the Banquet Manager.
  • Inspects each function room prior to the event to ensure that the client's needs are fulfilled
  • Meets with banquet house person on a daily basis to insure that uniform codes and personal hygiene requirements are met in accordance with department standards.
  • Reviews Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and assigns specific duties to each banquet house person.
  • Inspects each function room prior to, and during breaks to insure that every room gets refreshed and all requirements reflected on the BEOs are met.
  • Organizing and maintaining the back of the house areas cleaned and organized to ensure a productive and safe environment.
  • Ensures that all unused rooms are set to department's standards.
  • Responsible for knowledge of fire codes and regulations. Keep all exits and fire lanes clean and clear.
  • Utilize safe working practices and all safety equipment issued at all times.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel, organizing and setting up meeting rooms for special functions.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings/nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Banquet set-up experience preferred; must have organizational skills; able to work well with others;

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms.
  • Must be able to push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of significant weight, up to 50lbs minimum.

Pay Rate: $24.00/Hour.
