Responsibilities The Virtual Wound Care Registered Nurse plays a key role in the Home Health Virtual Wound Program, utilizing advanced telemedicine technologies to deliver expert wound care remotely. This position requires an experienced professional that is skilled in complex wound assessment, management, documentation, care planning, and product selection to promote optimal wound healing for home health patients. The clinician is responsible for conducting comprehensive virtual assessments of patients with wounds or integumentary system complications across the home health continuum. In some cases, the clinician may also provide in-home care consultations for complex care management. This role involves close collaboration with the nurse case manager and field clinicians to provide guidance and ensure high-quality patient care, accurate wound assessment, and proper documentation.
