THE JOB:

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain and repair all equipment while assisting in assigned daily operations and activities. Additionally, they will provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

STARTING RATE:$36.25 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain equipment operations: Oversee the maintenance and repair of boilers, compressors, refrigeration units, generators, and other machinery powered by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, or water. Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently.

  • Perform inspections: Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair various mechanical and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

  • Troubleshoot issues: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems across all relevant equipment, ensuring timely and accurate repairs.

  • Manage work orders: Complete and close work orders efficiently, prioritizing tasks and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.

  • Conduct daily routes: Perform daily inspections along designated routes, identifying any necessary repairs and addressing them promptly.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.

  • Availability: Be available to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as required.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role, with hands-on expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in commercial, industrial, or resort settings.

  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients, ensuring maintenance requests are addressed promptly and professionally.

  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs for a variety of equipment and systems.

  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and an eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving maintenance needs.

  • Physical demands: Be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout the shift. Must also be able to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. as required.
