Patient Care Tech - CTU8 - NIGHT SHIFT

Position Highlights:

Qualified Candidates hired full-time for select units at both our Edward and Elmhurst hospitals will receive a $5,000 bonus paid in two installments ($2,500 at 3 months and $2,500 at one year).

Qualifications For Bonus: Experienced Patient Care Techs (1+ year direct patient care exp)

* Hours: NIGHT SHIFT (7-7) Rotating Holidays/Weekends

* Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:

* Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training courseorminimum six monthsof previous patient care experienceorequivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.

* Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

* Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.

* Required to attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks.

License/Certification Required:

* Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross

General Summary:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.
