Center for Behavioral Health

Job Description

The Center for Behavioral Health, located at 12837 Flushing Meadows Dr. Ste 220, Town & Country MO 63131, seeks an enthusiastic, client-focused Intake Specialist to serve as one of the initial points of contact our clients have with our Center. Our Intake Specialists ensure our clients are scheduled with clinicians who can aptly address the caregiver's concerns. Requires computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, the ability to implement pre-determined processes accurately and consistently with strong attention to detail, and the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relations with clients, co-workers, and other agencies. The successful applicant should be flexible, organized, and comfortable working with the public.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performing telephone and walk-in intakes with prospective clients, attending staff meetings, preparing correspondence, providing office support to clinical staff and other assigned projects on behalf of CBH.
  • Scheduling appointments for clinicians at multiple potential locations, including the agency's two office locations, and school or other community sites as needed.
  • Provides general/routine administrative and office support that includes a broad range of duties. Provides support to the Center's Receptionist to ensure staff is available to clients and other visitors in the waiting room.
  • Answers phone, greets clients and other visitors, routes calls and responds to inquiries with appropriate discretion.
  • Monitor the office's general email account; Create, maintain, organize, and retrieve electronic and manual departmental and client files.
  • Focuses on completing work effectively, efficiently, and in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how the assigned and/or routine tasks integrate with others in the team.
  • Other administrative and reporting duties as assigned.

40 hours/week

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Eligibility for certification as required by regulatory agencies is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $15.50 per hour
