Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well.

The purpose of the Assistant Director position is to answer all incoming intake calls and provide appropriate resolution. Assists department director with oversite and supervision of department and staff. Assists with training of new staff and reporting as assigned. Conducts initial evaluations to determine an appropriate treatment level of care. Responsible for completing admission paperwork, including admission data entry. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision. This position will work with all hospital units, business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, nursing, and data processing.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with 1-3 experience in mental health and hospital setting;
  • Prefer LCSW, LMHC, LCAC, LMFT;
  • Service Excellence mentality;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Excellend written and verbal communication skills;
  • Must be able to perform crisis management/verbal de-escalation;
  • Ability to perform physical holds/managements;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology;
  • CPI and CPR;
  • Ability to train, educate, and orient staff;
  • Leadership ability;
  • Process improvement and data analysis skills;
  • Professional, exercises good judgement;
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and other software programs.

The hours for this position are 2p-10p, Monday thru Friday. An extensive background check and drug test will be performed for a new-hire candidate. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
