Full/Part Time Status: Full Time
Position Description:

Major Responsibilities:

-Clinical and administrative leadership;

-Direct oversite of the day-to-day activities of Faculty General Practice Clinic;

-Didactic/clinical instruction of pre-doctoral students in the Admissions Clinic;

-Review and adjust collegiate fees;

-Provide clinical care to patients in FGP;

-Serve as HIPAA compliance/Security officer;

-Review clinic-related affiliation agreements with area community colleges;

-Represent the College of Dentistry in state/local committees;

-Supervise and coordinate clinical support staff; and

-Cultivate an environment of inclusion and respect for students, faculty, andstaff.

Education Requirement:

-DDS/DMD or Equivalent;

Required Qualifications:

-Ability to be licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Iowa;

-Demonstrated experience leading an academic, private practice, hospital,or public health clinic;

-Clinical teaching experience;

-Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and

-Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.

Desirable Qualifications:

-Experience running the day-to-day operations of a general dentistry clinic;

-Experience successfully implementing quality assurance/improvement initiatives;

-Demonstrated data-driven decision-making experience in a clinical environment; and

-Involvement in National/State/Local Dental Organizations/Committees.
