Mechanical Engineer

Key Role:

Applies specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, and reviews or guides activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting and coordinating research, design, development, and engineering activities
  • Knowledge of conducting specific research and trade off analysis, executing market surveys, and investigating technology transfer or insertion opportunities
  • Ability to develop requirements and specifications, monitor contract and testing activities, conduct failure and cost reduction analysis, production engineering, configuration management, and technical field support
  • Ability to prepare and review test plans, observe tests and analyze test results to determine adequacy of system and subsystem performance, and recommend corrective action to eliminate deficiencies
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with reviewing and evaluating technical information to ensure the latest engineering and scientific knowledge is applied to the projects or programs involved
  • Ability to perform and evaluate engineering studies
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
