WANTED: Experienced Task Order Program Manager with a current and active TS/SCI clearance, and with demonstrated experience in Research, Engineering and Development efforts for defense organizations. We are building our OUSD (R&E) mission engineering team! The work will be located in National Capital Region.

As the Program Manager you will:



  • Lead a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled DOD research, engineering and development professionals.
  • Develop relationships with customers across the DoD R&E community.
  • Find the right talent to support highly technical studies and analysis in support of the DoD's most pressing technology research areas

A week in the life of the Program Manager:



  • Develop strategic solutions to guiding and managing DoD technology communities.
  • Create high performance teams to support applied and emerging research and transition into the hands of the nation's warfighter community.
  • Act as the single point of contact to manage all programmatic matters of task order and managing the day-to-day operation of the task order.
  • Serve in a supervisory capacity in planning, developing, and executing major research, engineering, and development efforts for defense organizations.
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight, initiative, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • 15 years relevant experience in engineering, research and development effort for DoD organizations.
  • Project Management experience
  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI.
  • Experience tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems.
  • Experience identifying and resolving administrative and contractual issues related to a support services contract.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
