NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Community Impact based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

The Senior Manager, Community Impact is responsible for managing community partnerships and activations in support of NASCAR IMPACT, an umbrella platform driving the company's purpose/impact work; day-to-day management includes race weekend activation, event planning, stakeholder integration, volunteer initiatives and measurement and reporting across various NASCAR IMPACT programs and partnerships.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage activities in support of NASCAR IMPACT community partnerships and employee volunteer events and initiatives
  • Serve as day-to-day lead on the company's official youth community partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America; lead planning and execution across key partnership pillars including race weekend activations with local clubs
  • Create and implement opportunities for NASCAR to engage Boys & Girls Club youth nationwide via digital content/programming and special event integration
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate successful activations and maximize opportunities for community engagement; identify and shepherd strategic integrations with sponsors, tracks, teams and drivers
  • Deliver company-wide strategy for employee volunteerism and community service; leverage best practices and creative ideas to elevate community engagement opportunities for all NASCAR employees
  • Provide planning and activation/event support for other NASCAR IMPACT pillars including sustainability, military/veteran services, STEM education; as well as special events and activities (IMPACT Month; Driving IMPACT newsletter, etc.)
  • Lead measurement and reporting tied to all community partnerships and initiatives; contribute to the planning and production of the company's annual NASCAR IMPACT Report
  • Assist in the creation of digital/social content that promotes NASCAR's community partnerships and elevates the visibility of key initiatives
  • Coordinate all planning materials; manage activation and content calendars; spearhead program measurement strategies, key learnings and recap documents
  • Manage related budgets
  • Manage and mentor the Community Impact Coordinator, providing guidance, professional development, and oversight of their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Travel: Approximately 20-25%, including several race weekends during the season

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and or minimum of 6 (six) years of community relations, social responsibility, marketing activation and/or DE&I programming; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of digital/social media content platforms and development tools/resources.
  • Prior experience in project/event management and content development.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong writing and communication skills
