In this role, you will:

Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served. Using independent judgment, you will produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians through cognitive sonographic skills, to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology. All while you extend the utmost courtesy to our patients, family members, visitors and co-workers through our "World Class Practices" Service Standards.

This position will support the Westwood and Santa Monica region, primarily in the Westwood Campus area, providing patient care for our inpatient and outpatient settings. This position participates in on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules as prepared by the manager. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed.

Staff Sonographer:



  • One to two years of experience within the hospital / acute care setting
  • Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN
  • Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred
  • Salary Range: $55.94 - $73.81 Hourly


Senior Sonographer:



  • Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting
  • Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT
  • Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency in interventional procedures
  • Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred
  • Salary Range: $62.43 - $76.12 Hourly

As
a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer
of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any
final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years
determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any
allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary
proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice
of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or
disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a
finding of misconduct with a previous employer.


Salary Range: $55.94 - $76.12 Hourly

    acute care (hospital) experience - required
  • RDMS credential in one
    specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN) - required

Senior
Ultrasound Technologist (external candidates)


  • 4 years of prior acute
    care (hospital) experience - required (Advancement into Senior job
    classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)
  • RDMS credential in
    Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT - required

General
Requirements

* BLS/CPR
Certificate - required

* Graduate
of CAAHAP ultrasound program - strongly preferred

* AAS
or higher in Medical Sonography - preferred

* RDMS
(AB or OBGYN) - minimum requirement

* Strong
interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors,
physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner

* Ability
to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately

* Ability
to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple
tasks to completion within allotted time

* Ability
to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness

* Basic
typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.

* Knowledge
of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of
procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
