Department:University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-TexarkanaDepartment's Website: * Responsible for supervision of Hempstead Hall staff * Develop facility usage fees and appropriate usage guidelines and policies for Hempstead Hall * Organizes and directs the bookings and scheduling of events at Hempstead Hall * Identifies external partners to secure private and public funding to develop and sustain Hempstead Hall events and facilities; Works independently and collaborates with the Office of Institutional Advancement and Marketing to obtain funding and sponsorships, and to promote and advertise events * Collaborates with appropriate campus personnel to promote maximum educational benefit to students * Contacts promoters and booking agents to market Hempstead Hall as a site for trade shows, concerts, conventions, and other civic, business and economic development, social, cultural, entertainment and education events * Promotes strong and effective partnerships with the City of Hope, Hempstead County, and governments in surrounding areas, and with community organizations to encourage local use of Hempstead Hall * Prepares budgets and purchase requisitions as required * Prepares contracts and invoices, orders printing of tickets, and receives and accounts for ticket sales * Compiles various statistical data for use in analyzing Hempstead Hall utilization * Creates and implements plans to provide for the security of Hempstead Hall guests, facilities and equipment * Ensures that Hempstead Hall is kept clean, the grounds and parking area neat, and the building properly maintained * Performs other duties as required Qualifications: Significant event planning and event execution experience; Extensive experience in building and maximizing public and private partnerships; Public and private fundraising experience; Knowledge of conference and event promotion techniques; Experience in the management and operation of a public facility, performing arts center. Bachelor's degree preferred, associate's degree required.
