Job Summary

The Beauty Advisor embodies the spirit of our brands beauty and fragrance. Our Beauty Advisor interact one on one with our customers and are expected to uphold the highest standards in professionalism and client service. This is executed through expert product knowledge, fragrance, and make-up application, as well as customized skin-care consultations. Follow-up and follow-through with our Clientele is essential. The Beauty Advisor understands, supports, and promotes an environment where the Customer is our number one priority, and the relationship we establish and cultivate with our Clients is in direct correlation to their success and the success of our business.

Job Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of Make-up, Skincare and Fragrance experience in a Clientele Service environment

- Legible handwriting with Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Reliable, dependable, and punctual

- Entrepreneurial, self starter, and self motivated

Judgment and Decision Making

- Ensuring the Customers happiness and satisfaction is of critical importance

- The Beauty Advisor may be in the store without management supervision (Openings, closings, entire shift, at times) and will be required to operate and function as the "Decision Maker" at those times. This requires that the Beauty Advisor is professional and uses sound judgment to operate in the best interest of our business, which is in the best interest of our Client.

Essential Physical Requirements

-Ability to lift 25 pounds

-Ability to walk up/down a flight of stairs numerous times throughout their shift

-Standing & walking is required 100% of the time during a Beauty Consultants shift

-Ability to use a ladder and step ladder

-Ability to stoop, bend and squat so as to clean and stock the Sales Floor, non-sales area(s) and off site stock room (if applicable)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve sales objectives by engaging and converting Customers into Clients through invitation to sit and experience a skin-care consultation/make-up/ fragrance application. This includes but is not limited to enthusiastically greeting the Customer into the Boutique, servicing the Customer with all her needs and wants, obtaining Client contact information (Client Book & POS) upon conversion, appropriate product and sample offering (per directive) and ensuring an overall exceptional Customer experience.

Client relationship management. This includes, but, is not limited to hand written Thank You notes, managing replenishment needs, event execution through appointments and presell for L'Oreal and Retailer Events, Client outreach revenue, notifying Clients about new product launches (pre-sell), social media posting- 1 per day- 5 per week, and supporting the BECONNECTED System to achieve retailer benchmarks.

Product knowledge is a constant and the Beauty Consultant needs to be self-motivated and self-disciplined to keep up with the DVD training modules, reading materials, training manuals, and attending the training sessions in store and off site. The Beauty Consultant continues to research and practice the latest trends in make-up looks and application.

Ensure and support the proper cleanliness of the store. Cleanliness and hygiene is of the utmost importance. In-between Customers it is expected that the Beauty Consultant will wipe down mirrors and surfaces, testers (replace testers that are less than half full) keep the wrap desk free of clutter, and all merchandise displays organized, filled in and dust free.

Knowledgeable and adheres to all current company policy, guidelines and procedures. This includes but is not limited to The Policy & Procedure Manual, Code of Ethics, Visual Presentation & Merchandising Guidelines, Event Protocol, Inventory Guidelines, and Loss Prevention & Safety Guidelines.

Pay Range: $27.00/hour - $32.00/hour (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
