Systems Administrator

The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting a large DoD organization? We're looking for a system administrator to help us operate and maintain a human capital IT environment and provide our customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.

As a system administrator on our team, you'll manage and maintain our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. You'll ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization, maintain responsibility for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computersoftware, and implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you provide guidance in the analysis and resolution of complex problems encountered by customers in their use of a wide variety of processing platforms, software, and network services.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Windows administration

  • 2+ years of experience with scripting and application packaging

  • 2+ years of experience managing server set up, deployment, and maintenance

  • Experience with cloud computing, including AWS

  • Knowledge of security and privacy controls and the ATO process

  • Ability to interact with customers and product owners, including requirements collection and product demonstration in a JIRA environment

  • Ability to conduct independent research and apply solutions

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with agile project management frameworks and Atlassian products

  • Experience troubleshooting web application support in authoring and maintaining technical documentation

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Master's degree

  • Information Security Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
