Job Title: Instructional Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid Preferred - Mt. View (1+ days/week, Tu-Th options)

Duration: Full-Time (6-month contract)

Client is seeking an Associate Instructional Designer to create high-impact learning materials for LinkedIn engineers. These materials empower engineers worldwide with the best practices they need to succeed within Client's Engineering environment.

This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing you to work both from home and in a LinkedIn office as needed to collaborate effectively with your team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Instructional Designers and engineering teams to update existing coursework based on upcoming product updates or create new learning material aligned with new product releases.
  • Identify learning objectives tied to desired engineer behavior outcomes.
  • Draft scripts/content for internal-facing asynchronous assets.
  • Design learning assets, balancing timelines with sustainability and localization needs.
  • Continuously incorporate feedback through peer reviews.
  • Manage deliverable deadlines effectively.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in customer or engineer learning, adult learning, teaching, or technical writing.
  • 4+ years of experience building e-learning assets in Articulate Rise.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree with emphasis on Instructional Design.
  • Proven critical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in execution, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience working on multi-cultural teams.
  • Experience in the learning, engineering, or technical industry.
  • Expertise in structuring lessons or courses to achieve behavioral outcomes.
  • Familiarity with multimedia or graphic design.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering subject matter experts in technical environments.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset.
