Job Overview: As a Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. Our Telemetry Unit is a 38-Bed Unit. The team-oriented unit provides a wide variety of medical/ surgical and diagnostic services to a diverse cardiac population, which includes congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, respiratory compromise and dysrhythmias. The skills learned here set the groundwork for advancement to critical care.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Night Shift, 40 Hours per week
  • Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • AHA BLS prior to start date required
  • Completion of a nursing fundamentals course and/or Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred
  • Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or acute clinical experience desired

Essential Functions: The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The CCT will promote and implement, in conjunction with the RN, the concept of patient and family-centered care. The CCT observes and reports patient s responses to intervention/treatment. They will greet and escort newly admitted patients, prepare patient environments for admission and/or transfer, and assure patients have appropriate identification bands on at all times. The CCT will also assist with feeding, bathing, and other duties associated with different patient care needs.
