Description Leidos' Defense Systems Sector has an immediate opening for a Staff Solution Architect with radar systems and sensor technology experience to join our Land Systems team in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will work with subject matter experts to conceptualize, develop, and propose differentiating Leidos solutions for active radar, persistent surveillance, air defense, counter UAS, and other Land Systems applications. You will communicate the value and benefits of Leidos' systems and capabilities to current and potential customers explaining technical features and value to their missions. You will develop and review white papers and formal proposals, help develop product strategies and roadmaps, create solution presentations, and assist in program planning, cost estimation, and execution. Primary Responsibilities:
- Use expertise in radar and sensor technology to analyze customer requirements and mission needs to understand and identify, define, and propose Land Systems and Leidos solutions
- Understand applicable Land Systems and broader Leidos technology to create innovative, discriminated, collaborative solutions to meet market and customer needs
- Support internal research and development projects
- Develop white papers, formal proposals, and presentations to effectively communicate the value of Land Systems solutions to customers, leading those efforts as required
- Support internal and external meetings and presentations
- Participate in reviews of white papers, formal proposals, and presentations
- Lead or participate in program planning, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
- Participate in program leadership or execution roles as required.
- Participate in business process and technical reviews
- In coordination with leadership, develop technology and solution roadmaps for Land Systems solutions
- Build understanding of applicable competitor and teammate technologies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable Engineering discipline with 17+ years of experience related to development engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience articulating complex technical concepts to customers, business development, program teams, technical teams, and executives, both orally and in writing
- Should have at least 5 years' experience with radar, air and missile defense, counter UAS, or related systems
- Experience in understanding customer needs, deriving requirements, and applying technology to create conceptual solutions
- Proficient with MS Office products
- US citizen with an ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with other highly skilled individuals
- Expertise and experience in radar systems
- Experience applying digital engineering principles
- Experience applying open architecture principles
- Experience in evaluating and working with partners and subcontractors
- Experience in engineering team leadership or technical program management
- Experience with proposals for Other Transaction Authority and FAR based contracts
- Understanding of formal risk management and cost estimation processes
- Active Secret Clearance or higher

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
