As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer primarily managing Sentara's Microsoft Office 365 environment, the primary job requirements, duties and necessary skills are outlined below:

• Configure and maintain mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings to ensure secure and efficient email communication.
• Implement and manage Office 365 compliance features, including data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and retention policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the deployment and management of Microsoft Teams, including team creation, policy configuration, and integration with other Office 365 services to enhance internal communication and collaboration.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Office 365 services and connectivity issues, using tools like the Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell scripts to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the integration of third-party services and applications with the Office 365 environment, ensuring seamless interoperability and enhancing the platform's capabilities.
• Possess extensive experience in managing and configuring Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams. Ideal candidates have a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and network administration.
• Skilled in system migrations, security protocols, user support and expertise in the entire Office 365.
• Experienced in troubleshooting, user training, and policy implementation is crucial.

• Exchange Online Management:Configuring and maintaining mailboxes, policies, and security measures is central to ensuring smooth communication and robust data protection. Knowledge of mail flow rules, compliance management, and troubleshooting techniques is necessary to enhance the user experience and shield against threats.

• PowerShell Scripting:Automation of repetitive tasks and complex administration processes through scripting significantly boosts productivity and accuracy in Office 365 environment management. This capability allows administrators to quickly perform bulk actions, configure services, and manage user permissions for a streamlined operational framework.
• Teams Deployment:Ensuring seamless integration across an organization's communication and collaboration platforms is critical when deploying and managing Microsoft Teams. Adjusting settings to align with business requirements, establishing governance policies, and providing continuous support are key to optimizing the user experience and productivity.
• Security & Compliance Center Usage:Configuring permissions, data loss prevention policies, and audit logs are fundamental to monitoring and protecting sensitive information. A detailed approach to managing access controls, encryption, and retention policies is necessary to deter unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Azure Active Directory Integration:Connecting and managing user identities across cloud and on-premises environments facilitates secure and efficient access to services. Setting up authentication methods, implementing single sign-on (SSO), and applying conditional access policies are crucial steps in protecting corporate data while improving the user experience.
