POSITION OVERVIEW

Director of Clinical Operations serves as the lead behavioral and mental health professional within the residential portion of the company. The position partners with residential operations to ensure that effective and quality clinical services are provided to individuals supported by the agency. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficacy of clinical interventions, infusion of behavioral support plans throughout the multidisciplinary team, systemic oversight, and program evaluation that is driven by person-centered outcomes and organizational KPIs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Serves as a member of the residential operations leadership team
  • Innovates and enhances the service provision of behavioral and mental health services to people supported
  • Oversees caseload size/appropriateness, documentation completion, behavior plan development of clinicians
  • Monitors the delivery of clinical supports provided through individual and group supervision with clinical personnel, provides training, and identifies areas for skills development
  • Conducts evidence-based, data-driven program evaluation to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of interventions provided
  • Oversees the administration of assessments
  • Performs hiring, periodic evaluations, necessary corrective action, and termination of clinical staff
  • Serves as the chair of the Human Rights Team
  • Serves as an advisor and consulting member of treatment teams


Financial Management



  • Establishes departmental limits on expenditures including but not limited to resources, supplies, travel and training.
    • Reviews and approves financial documents such as payroll, expense forms and petty cash.
    • Reports immediately any discrepancies related to the use of personal or company funds.
    • Performs other duties as requested by the COO; attends and/or conducts meetings; prepares reports; completes surveys and forms as required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The position directs and supervises the Behavioral Specialists The Director of Clinical Operations provides direct clinical supervision to behavioral specialists across the organization and participates in guiding, informing, supporting, and evaluating the programmatic needs of residential services with respect to behavioral and mental health needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required



  • Master's degree in a behavioral health related field (counseling, social work, psychology)
  • 5 years' experience providing clinical supervision
  • Relevant practice license (LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist)
  • Experience with a variety of assessments
  • Previous managerial/leadership experience


Strongly Preferred



  • Formal training in clinical supervision/accreditation such as ACS
  • Experience in the treatment and assessment of sexual offending behaviors


Other Requirements



  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Customer oriented (internal and external) with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and the community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or Boards of Directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to analyze complex funding and budgetary relationships.
  • Logical thinking and analytical skills required


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear, and be physically mobile. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
