Inova Kellar Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I (In take Coordinator) to join the Partial Hospitalization Program team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday, (3 days 8:00am-4:30pm and two days 10:00 am - 6:30pm).

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:



  • Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
  • May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
  • Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor.


Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, (3 days 8:00am-4:30pm and two days 10:00 am - 6:30pm).
  • Education: Master's degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health-related field
  • Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
