About the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE): Under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) challenges students to become accomplished learners who are able to make meaningful connections among work, study, and community. About the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning (E2L): The Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning (E2L), a unit within the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE), embodies the lifeblood of the Institute's "hand and mind" approach to education and its aspirations "to provide all students with transformative learning experiences to grow as creative, ethical, globally aware, technologically sophisticated leaders who can define and solve problems to improve the human condition." We activate this ambition through the facilitation and development of High-Impact Practices including community-based learning, living learning communities, transition seminars, student innovation, undergraduate research, and work-based learning. About the Career Center: The Career Center reports jointly to the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) and the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE). The Center includes the Career Operations Team, which includes event planning, administrative support, and IT; the Undergraduate Career Education Team, which provides resources to undergraduate students to support their searches for full-time employment after graduation, such as help with the exploration, selection, and pursuit of meaningful careers; career counseling; resume writing interview tips, etc. and the Employer Connections team, which leads the effort to grow and maintain the elite brand and the diverse set of employers engaging the Georgia Tech campus. The center also shares responsibility (dotted line reporting) with and provides operational support to the Undergraduate cooperative education (Co-op) and Internship programs (with the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning) and the Graduate Career Services and Internship Programs (with Graduate and Postdoctoral Education). The Undergraduate Co-op and Internship Specialist will coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for the E2L and Career Centers undergraduate coop and internship programs. This position will interact regularly with students, employers, faculty, alumni, and staff. This position will typically advise students, faculty, staff, and employers on all facets of the coop and internship programs and will provide supervision to the Co-op and Internship Ambassadors. Note on Working Time: This position must be available to work standard GT business hours M-F, 8-5 (or 7-4 or 9-6), as well as some evenings as weekends based on student programs and with advanced notice. The first 3-6 months of employment are fully in-person/on site. Following this, some telecommuting will be available in accordance with OUE's guidelines. Develop and coordinate the implementation of programs designed to promote the Institute to target audiences of potential and enrolled students and other groups thereby encouraging their enrollment and retention at the Institute and/or a program within the Institute. Efforts include program needs assessment, concept definition, program development, marketing and evaluation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: target group prospects and students, institutional and program administrators, Institute faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: target group prospects and students, institutional and program administrators.
