Job Title: Release Train Engineer
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Responsibilities: This Director, RTE working closely with the Chief Product Owner and Solution Architect, is responsible for the planning, execution and implementation of a wide variety of business outcomes. Day to day accountabilities will include: * Manage the flow of value for the Agile Release Train (ART) using tools like Jira and Miro * Work very closely with Chief Product Owner, Solution Architect, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment * Establish and communicate calendars for iterations and program increments * Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, PI Pre-Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos and other relevant ART-level syncs and ceremonies * Synthesize, track and communicate PI Objectives, risks, dependencies, and key milestones with all stakeholders * Help manage risks and dependencies, escalate and track impediments * Assist tracking execution of features and developing metrics that help the ART make data-driven decisions * Lead process improvement opportunities resulting from Inspect & Adapt workshops * Build and maintain relationships with internal & external partners (e.g., Business Partners, vendors, clients, consultants) to ensure maximum effective use of talent; facilitate the provisioning of talent based on business needs, budgets, capacity and skillsets * Interacts closely with technical and business leaders, including Senior Leadership Teams, providing a blend of tactical and strategic leadership and coaching relevant to Agile delivery * Make complex judgments, often with autonomy * Negotiate business deliverables and influence related outcomes Qualifications: * Minimum of 8 years of program management experience * At least 4 years of experience in Agile delivery and implementation * Minimum of 1 year of experience as Release Train Engineer * Fluency in multiple Agile methodologies and proven experience in scaling and implementation across teams of various maturities including start-ups * Experience navigating matrixed businesses and functions at all organizational levels, including senior leadership? * Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence outcomes and deliver results * Established record of leading inclusively, doing the right thing for the team and the business, and driving high team performance * Exceptional business acumen, with ability to deliver the right customer outcomes * Success in building new products, capabilities, and teams * Assertive and able to thrive in ambiguous situations * Ability to flourish in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision * Exceptional facilitation and problem-solving skills * Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience |
