This department typically works Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-5pm.

Summary: As part of the Deposit Operations team, this position is responsible for multiple job functions including file maintenance, verification, and document processing on new and revised client accounts. This individual will have daily interactions with branches and the CSC. Consistent attainment of Centier's Essentials of Excellence is required. The associate will continually work with peers and managers to improve efficiency, quality, and implement solutions to operational issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform file maintenance and verification through NuPoint on new and revised Checking, Savings, Time Deposit and Safe Deposit Box accounts using a combination of forms delivered through IMM Workflow and paper.
  • Assist the branch and CSC with form and processing issues. Must have basic knowledge of all Centier form rules and some Retail and Compliance procedures.
  • Following specific rules for linking and verifying accounts for combined statements, ensure Primary/Secondary ownership and making product changes.
  • Setup and quality check transfers between Centier accounts.
  • Handle address and phone number changes on accounts.
  • Closing of accounts process; analyze what to remove before we close, i.e. pending transactions, transfers, etc.
  • Place messages and alerts for accounts. Must know rules and alert codes to apply appropriate messages/alerts.
  • Verify file maintenance processing to assure accuracy, reduce errors and account for any missing source documents utilizing SharePoint.
  • Handling electronic documents received through IMM Workflow and indexing them into CenterDoc. Also responsible for manually scanning paper documents into CenterDoc.
  • Processing Deposit Operations return mail through file maintenance in NuPoint to help acquire valid addresses from clients and reduce postage costs due to unnecessary mailings.
  • Moving funds to adjust Time Deposit account balances, issuing CD interest checks, working with Accounting to balance the ledger, and processing Safe Deposit Box payments is required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position works closely with management, covering different desks within the group as needed to improve efficiencies and ensure proper workflow.
  • Associate must be willing to assist in other areas within Deposit Operations as needed for backup, growth, and career enhancement purposes.
  • Assist with sorting of Deposit Operations Mail.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with complex processes, policies, and forms with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in their work.
  • Ability to exercise good independent judgement in decision-making.
  • Required to adjust work pace based on varying volumes.
  • Ability to perform a variety of repetitive tasks independently in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills - basic working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel), Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with NuPoint, IMM Workflow and New Account Counsel is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years' work experience in a banking or business setting preferred.
