Boise Cascade Wood Products has an opening for an EWP Software Trainer II. The preferred candidate will reside within the territory of this remote position. Territory includes WA, OR, CA, ID, MT, CO, NM, AZ, and NV. Must also reside near a major airport.

The EWP Software Trainer II will develop, manage, coordinate and conduct introductory and advanced software training seminars for customers in the use of Boise Cascade proprietary software products (BC Framer, BC Calc, and BC Connect). Travels to Boise Cascade's regional training centers as well as customer locations to provide this service. Collaborates with sales team and demonstrates Boise Cascade software products during sales presentations to potential customers. Conducts webinars and web-based training, educating software operators on new features and more effective methods of software use. Develops training aids and tests new versions of Boise Cascade Software Products as needed. Assists the Software Support team in answering customer questions one week a month. Approximately 2 - 3 weeks per month travel required.

Basic Qualifications:

Technical degree in architectural or engineering design/drafting or related field and/or equivalent job experience, two to five years minimum required. Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems. Minimum of five years of experience working with BC Framer and BC Calc software (or other industry related software packages). Understanding of how structural wood components are used in residential and multi-family construction. The successful candidate is a customer-focused, highly motivated self-starter with excellent presentation skills, the ability to train groups of people, telephone/remote problem-solving skills, good time management, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred and/or 5+ years equivalent job experience. Knowledge of engineered wood product design/application, experience with Boise Cascade's web-based BC Connect application, presentation skills, prior experience in a training role and training documentation, ability to build strategic working relationships with customers and work independently.
