Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Occupational Therapist II to join the team within the Counseling and Therapy Department at Inova Fairfax Behavioral Health. This role will be full-time day shift: 5 days a week, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (along with required rotating weekend coverage. Occupational Therapist 2 Job Responsibilities:
- This position involves facilitating both group therapy sessions and conducting individual patient evaluations to assess their unique challenges and therapeutic goals.
- Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation.
- Functions with the knowledge and skill of an advanced clinician who is sought out by others for advice and guidance.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
- Provides administrative leadership within department/program, facility and/or community.
- Provides clinical mentoring and operational guidance, education and/or supervision to new or less experienced staff, students and support personnel.
- Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
Additional Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy.
- Experience: Three years of experience in a clinical setting and 1 year with Inova.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Licensure: Occupational Therapist
