About the Role

The Regional Manager has the main responsibility to oversee the activities of the Currax Sales Organization promoting Contrave and ONZETRA Xsail within a specified defined area of the United States. Focus is on meeting and exceeding Currax product sales goals within the geography, building, training and maintaining a cohesive and effective sales team, setting vision and strategy specific to the unique business needs of the geography, developing strong product advocates among key stakeholders, anticipating and uncovering business trends and needs within the geography and ensuring that sales organization and Currax are incompliance with all laws and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the given geography meets or exceeds all sales targets and goals
  • Plans, directs, implements, and manages direct sales team and daily activities for a specific geographic region
  • Consistently achieves/exceed sales and budget targets
  • Recruits, hires and trains the Territory Managers
  • Sets a positive tone and high standard for the Region area in terms of work ethic, culture, expectations, business ethics
  • Allocates and directs resource allocation within the geography to maximize results
  • Provides coaching to improve performance; manages corrective action appropriately and timely in conjunction with HR.
  • Works in the field 4 days a week and completes field coaching reports after each work session
  • Establishes a high accountability environment with a performance management mindset
  • Demonstrates a tolerance for stress and the ability to make decisions quickly and assume risk in the face of uncertainty
  • Assesses competitive threats and takes appropriate action
  • Enforces compliance and company policies acting as a conduit to Human Resources (HR), Compliance and Regulatory Functions
  • Provides real time actionable customer feedback to the Currax Home Office

Required Qualification & Skills

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of Sales Management in Pharmaceutical Sales with demonstrated performance in top 20%.
  • Expert knowledge in the selling process and an ability to coach and develop others
  • Account Management experience preferred
  • Strong Preference for managing B2B sales representatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, planning, performance management, problem solving and business acumen skills
  • Professional, proactive demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Maintains a safe driving record, valid insurance coverage and driver's license in accordance with company motor vehicle policy
