About the Role
The National Sales Training Manager, reporting to the Director, National Field Training, will manage and or/assist in the design, development, deployment, facilitation, and measurement of field sales training programs for the Currax Sales Team. This includes new hire training, new product launches, continuous skill development, Currax specific business initiatives, national and regional sales meetings, as well as the Currax Regional Field Trainer Program. This individual will also assist the sales and training leaders in identifying skill development needs and opportunities for Territory Managers (TMs) through continuous assessment of Currax product and sales training programs. This role will serve as a sales training coach and mentor for Territory Managers by conducting field rides throughout the year to help identify skill gaps and assist Regional Managers (RMs) with developing TM skill proficiency. This position will work closely and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, access, medical, legal, and operations in assessing the training needs and deliverables for the outside salesforce.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead new hire training program development, deployment and execution including e-learning curriculum and live classroom facilitation.
- Develop and/or assist with development of training content, workshops and certification programs for field sales and other customer-facing roles.
- Manage the review of materials in Veeva to ensure that training meets compliance, regulatory, legal and medical.
- Manage and/or assist with maintaining training vendor relationships and training expense department budgets.
- Assist in management of all training platforms and systems (i.e. ACTO, Game Lab, etc.).
- Assist the Director of Training in the development and deployment of training measurement tool.
- Continually seek to learn needs of the organization; develops new hire and incumbent sales training programs that aligns with our core brand strategies.
- Define and implement a blended-learning approach consistent with adult learning principles and effective instructional design.
- Partner with brand Marketing Team to understand brand strategy, positioning, and key messaging elements; designs training programs beginning with these objectives in mind to educate and ensure effective pull-through of brand strategy via Currax sales professionals.
- Assist with the management of the Regional Field Trainers program to effectively delegate work and ensure hands-on training approach for new hires and ongoing learning in the sales organization.
- Develop pull-through materials to support learning retention (e.g., coaching guides and job aides)
- Assist in the evaluation, assessment and coaching of sales representatives as needed.
- Responsible for managing certain components of training expense budget for projects led and owned by this position.
- Manage training vendor partnerships by ensuring Currax company standards are adhered to.
- Manage simultaneous learning projects under tight timelines and within limited budget.
- Partner with Director of Training to consistently track and measure projects and initiatives to analyze training effectiveness.
- Conduct field rides with Territory Managers to assist Regional Managers in coaching TMs on product knowledge and selling skill proficiency.
- Stay current on training and development best practices and latest trends. Attend conferences as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 5-7+ years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Some sales training experience preferred.
- Previous obesity treatment sales experience preferred.
- Strong Project Management skills required.
- Aptitude for working with technology platforms and learning management systems (LMS, ACTO, Veeva etc.)
- Microsoft Office skills proficiency (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are required.

- Travel of up to 50% including TM field rides, 1-2x per month, home office visits, and several offsite sales meetings.
