Swing Shift, Sunday-Wednesday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM
Base Rate of $26.00-30.00/hour (DOE) + $3.00/hour Shift Differential

Ideally this person will be a motivated entry-level production maintenance technician, that will be willing, and able, to troubleshoot/work on production equipment independently with mechanical & electrical/control systems. We will consider various levels of experience based on desire to learn, attitude/aptitude, commitment to safety, and fit with the maintenance team. Previous experience in any of the following settings will be considered: industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, CNC machine maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, production maintenance, automotive trouble shooting and/or setting up/operating CNC machines.
This new team member will have a great opportunity to learn, grow, and finetune their mechanical & troubleshooting skills further. A majority of the work will be spent performing mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and alignment of complex Mill-turning CNCs, Swiss style lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, bar feeders, chip conveyor systems. You will primarily be using Siemens, Mitsubishi and Fanuc controls. The remaining time is spent working on heavy industrial production equipment & supporting multiple full production assembly lines, where this team member will be "hands on" with precision bearings, belts, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gear boxes, chains & motors.

What You'll Be Doing as a Production Maintenance Technician:
Perform or assist with basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, alignment and repair on CNC and other production related equipment.
Responsibilities as a Production Maintenance Technician:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
- Assist with diagnosing & problem solving on mechanical, hydraulic and/or potentially electrical systems.
- Perform basic CNC controller navigation and interpret machine alarms.
- Rebuild basic mechanical devices and CNC tools.
- Assist with CNC machine alignment and jo blocking.
- Assist with fabrication of mechanical parts.
- Maintain production equipment, perform preventative maintenance and tool rebuild/repair.
- Use JIRA /Confluence software to create tickets, document job activity & communicate between shifts.
- Assist with equipment moves and area layout changes.
- Participate in Lock-Out / Tag-Out programs and compliance.
- Ensure facilities and campus grounds are safe and well maintained. Clean and perform other janitorial tasks. Observe and report hazardous conditions.
- Document information related to work assignment, tasks, and departmental procedures.
- Be a student who asks questions, takes organized personal notes, has a positive attitude and wants to learn.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experiences You'll Need as a Production Maintenance Technician:
- HS Diploma and 1-5 years of job-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of industrial machines including CNC machines and other industrial systems.
- Basic knowledge/experience of CNC Controllers (such as Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi)
- Experience using measurement tools such as dial indicators, micrometers & pin gages
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and knowledge of basic mechanical repair practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electro- mechanical systems.
- Ability to use equipment including mills, grinders, lates, welders and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and work from basic mechanical drawings. Strong math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with equipment such as air compressors, boilers, and HVAC units.
- Forklift and Man-Lift licensed or ability to obtain these licenses preferred.
- Strong, collaborative team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude with desire to learn
Work Environment for a Production Maintenance Technician:
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with occasional outdoor work and with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to climb and work at high elevations.
