We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr Contracts Coordinator II on our Publishing Business Operations team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Sr Contracts Coordinator II, you will provide contract administration support for the
JAMA Network. Responsibilities include contract language, client communication,
compliance and administrative tasks.
Works closely with the Offices of General Counsel and Finance; is
responsible for contracts administration (for maintaining/renewing existing
contracts, for new site license/permissions/AI agreements, and vendor
agreements for the JAMA Network.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract Administration Support

  • Coordinates the processing of all site license contracts, sales agent agreements, and vendor agreements for Publishing (Drafting legal agreements including but not limited to MSAs, addendums, amendments, statements of work and NDAs).
  • Ensures that contracts and all accompanying documentation are properly documented and securely maintained with proper facilitation of contract revisions and final execution between the Project Manager and OGC/Finance for any issues relating to contracts.
  • Serves as liaison with the customer, AMA legal department and finance.
  • Manages the contract/sales database/agent and vendor database. Responsible for the management of the Contracts Lifecycle Management System (Ironclad).
  • Executes departmental audits to ensure that the order/contract process continually meets internal audit requirements.
  • Recommends and implements changes in order to fix any workflow issues.

Project Support

  • Conducts contract meetings with Project Managers on timelines relating to departmental needs and expectations.
  • Identifies specific issues in relation to completeness, accuracy or compliance of a contract.
  • Provide desktop assistance at specialized meetings as needed.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. 3+ years' experience in an administration role required.
  3. 1+ year experience in contract management required.
  4. Understanding of legal terminology.
  5. Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, such as problem solving, issue spotting and decision making.
  6. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, third parties, and with both domestic and foreign customers.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as ability to work collaboratively to support the business of the department and other members within the organization.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects requiring frequent communication and prioritization.
  9. Ability to be discreet and maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
  10. Able to travel if necessary.

The salary range for this position is $56,100-$74,460. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employees are also eligible to participate in a
