Inova Research Center - Cancer team is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Specialist 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday.

Clinical Research Specialist 1 Job Responsibilities:



  • Assists in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents to the study sponsor and IRB, as required by the protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the conduct and documentation of study visits and protocol-specific testing/interviews according to the study protocol.
  • Assists the research team in completing case report forms accurately and according to the protocol.


Clinical Research Specialist Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday - Friday, Days).
  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience conducting any or all the following activities would be preferred:
  • Collecting, processing, and/or shipping blood and other biological specimens in a research or healthcare setting.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a research or healthcare/hospital setting.
  • Collecting and entering research data in electronic data capture systems and verifying accuracy with source documentation.
  • Any prior experience with community-based research studies or healthcare experience working with diverse populations in the community would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with Epic preferred.
  • Familiarity with using REDCap or other electronic data capture systems for data entry preferred.
