Job Description:

Oregon State Treasury is recruiting for the position of Full Stack Developer. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and development with the design, development and integration of custom applications, legacy applications, legacy systems, and databases.

Job Duties Summary

  • Designs, constructs, implements, tests and maintains business application systems using approved development tools and technologies.

  • Design and construct application systems based on business process requirements analysis, including security and other technical design considerations as well as departments future strategic goals.

  • Coordinate purchase and implementation of third-party applications, patches, and upgrades.

  • Design, construct, or modify application components using industry best practices.

  • Develop and implement test plans, monitors test results.

  • Review application designs, code, test plans, documentation, and related components for compliance.

  • Prepare documentation for clients as well as internal documentation for IT staff.

  • Refactor code and recommend improvements as needed.

  • Train users, external agency staff, and IT staff in the operation of new information systems.

  • Plan and schedule installations considering timing, version compatibility, and other factors. Installations may be diverse with multiple vendors, multiple sites, distributed needs within the agency and multiple entities in the workflow.

  • Work and meet with stakeholders to determine needs or understand problems then find the best solution based on the information given. consulting team and management.

  • Generate project documentation.

  • Provide testing plans for applications.

  • Work to continually update documentation and user manuals.

  • Database work will include but not limited to the design, update, testing, and implementation of stored procedures, functions, views and databases.

  • Analyze business needs to determine potential improvements in areas of efficiency and effectiveness or identify additional services that may be provided using information technology.

Work Schedule

This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury's Salem office .

The schedule will be approximately 90+% time spent remote with a minimum of eight times per year in-office presence, spread over each quarter of the year . Based on business needs, this position may require additional days in office.

Salary Range

$80,148 - $121,104 annually.

Job Classification

This position is classified as an Information System Specialist 7 . This position is a SEIU represented position .

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of information systems experience in application development.

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of information systems experience in application development.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience in application development.

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.
