Help Desk Coordinator Compass Health is currently looking for a Full-time Help Desk Coordinator! What you will be performing The Help Desk Coordinator provides support services to internal and/or external users of the organization's computer systems and data processing network. This position acts as a first level problem identification and resolution resource, which includes answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, following-up with users to solve data processing problems, coordinating user problem resolution with other data processing sections if necessary, and tracking and reporting recurring problems. This position may operate in a mainframe or microcomputer environment. Fields incoming help requests from customers via telephone, e-mail, and service tickets in a courteous manner. Documents the technical support request problem-solving process in our service desk software, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken from when the initial request was made up through final resolution. Performs post-resolution follow-up to help requests. Prioritizes and schedules service tickets and escalates when required. Performs hands-on solutions at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, performing file backups, and configuring systems and applications. Performs preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals. Monitors servers, backups, and network monitoring software and notifies Systems Engineers of possible problems. Performs move/add/change operations to user domain accounts. Performs move/add/change operations for telephone and voicemail users. Participates in supervision and team meetings. What you will be carrying along High School Diploma required. AA or BA Degree in a related field preferred. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) with a specialty in Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 preferred. CompTIA a+ Certification preferred. 2+ years of experience supporting computer hardware, including workstations, laptops, and printers. 2+ years of experience installing and supporting desktop operating systems, such as Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 10. Application support experience with Microsoft Office and related products. Valid Washington State Driver's License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable. What you will be sharing Familiarity with performing troubleshooting/moves/adds/changes for computers, operating systems, widely used application software, analog and VOIP telephone systems, and email and voicemail systems. Ability to maintain a service oriented mentality and high sense of ownership over assigned work. Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to also work cooperatively with others as a productive team member. Proven analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to work calmly, effectively, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, high production, and high-pressure environment. Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems. Demonstrated organizational skills, an ability to multitask, and keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
