Introduction

The Department of Finance & Procurement is responsible for ensuring that the county's financial management and accounting systems are maintained appropriately and that county agencies and the public receive information in a timely manner. The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations manages internal auditing and compliance, financial accounting, financial and budgetary reporting, internal controls, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and functional system support and administration of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.


Job Summary

The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations is seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator to manage the County's Accounts Receivable (AR) Program and systems to include interfaces of receivable and revenue transactions from 3rd party and external systems. This full-time, mid-level financial position reports to the Accounting Manager and works independently on complex tasks. This position documents and reviews AR processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with county policies and evaluates the AR systems, processes and procedures for sufficient internal controls. The Accounts Receivable Administrator maintains the customer database, balances and closes each accounting period, researches and resolves discrepancies, and trains users on policies, procedures, and processes. This position also assists with fixed asset administration and completes special projects.

This is a hybrid position with some telework opportunities.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field; two (2) years of related work experience, preferably in a government accounting setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CPA, CPFO, and VGFOA certification and completion of GAAP courses preferred. Experience working with a major ERP system such as Oracle is preferred.
