Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Sr. Data Engineering to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The Sr. Data Engineering designs data strategies for intake, refresh, and governance processes while creating enterprise data architecture and ETL processes for Epic and other systems. Acts as a subject matter expert to manage ETL and data transformation rules. Collaborates with the Data Engineering Architect and Lead to ensure smooth software delivery and updates. Provides expertise on infrastructure strategies for Epic systems and demonstrates strong project management skills to ensure timely task and project completion.

Sr. Data Engineering Job Responsibilities:



  • Analyzes and interprets data to meet requirements.
  • Captures and consolidates source data with proper lineage and change control from internal, external, on-premises, and cloud sources.
  • Designs data management strategies for storing and moving data across diverse platforms.
  • Creates, vets, and publishes data sources for BI tools like Tableau, Crystal, and Epic.
  • Documents and designs data integration and visualization requirements for various projects.
  • Assists BI creators in generating impactful, interactive visualizations with accurate data.
  • Provides leadership support, problem resolution, and troubleshooting across projects and initiatives.


Sr. Data Engineering Additional Requirements:



  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Remote
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 3 years of experience with advanced report writing using SQL, SSIS, Tableau and Tableau Prep, Clarity report writer or similar relational database concepts with query techniques.
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert; SQL and BI application development


Sr. Data Engineering Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with Epic preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
