Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Structural Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering, working on real-world projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Primary Functions


  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural components and systems for various projects.
  • Support the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to assist in creating and modifying designs.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices.


Minimum Physical Requirements

Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. Will perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and from projects is required. Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Desired Skills/ Experience


  • Basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
