Swiss Lathe Setup & Run Operator

Job Overview

Individual will be responsible for setting up and operating the swiss screw machines and multi-spindle lathe machines. Individual will adhere to current ISO requirements and observe all safety and housekeeping requirements.

A Day In The Life

  • Responsible for operation of swiss an lathe machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
  • Responsible for performing setup on swiss and lathe machine; including, tooling changes and adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
  • Responsible for conformance with quality specifications.
  • Ability to assist other in trouble shooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of swiss and lathe machines.
  • General Housekeeping of work area.

  • Candidate must have prior swiss/lathe setup experience or swiss/lathe-based education.
  • Education - High school diploma or GED preferred. Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums, and correspondence. Must be able to read and decipher electrical schematics and machine drawings. Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
