Grant Manager 3 Pre Award Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal clients, external funders, and collaborators to promote on-going and increased grant funding activity.
- Presents appropriate federal, state and, foundation grant opportunities to internal clients.
- Reviews application requirements and technical instructions, prepares proposal template, and advises on grant concept development.
- Assists with budget preparation and approval.
- Collaborates to clarify grant goals and objectives for internal/external seed grants and develops detailed Requests for Applications (RFA) for each type of funding to be awarded.
- Serves as a leader and mentor to junior team members.
- Collaborates with GMO colleagues to develop policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective office operations.
- Executes award agreements, reviews award terms and conditions, and works collaboratively with internal clients and Corporate Accounting to implement programs.
- Ensures internal client's understanding of grant award expectations and deadlines for key milestones and reporting.
- Manages award adjustment requests and close-out activities monitoring receipt of final reports and return of unused funding when necessary.
Grant Manager 3 Pre Award Additional Requirements:
- Work schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday - Friday; Hybrid). Works onsite once per month.
- Education: Bachelor degree in public health, health education, business, public administration or other allied health field.
- Experience: Five (5) years of grant writing experience (graduate student and post-graduate student experience acceptable). Experience in pre-award grant management and post-award related activities (preferably for healthcare providers). Scientific background strongly preferred.
