Position Summary: Team Lead

The National Call Center team lead is responsible for providing ongoing education and training while assisting with the day-to-day operations of verification of benefits (VOB), operations team (Ops), and admissions coordination (AC).

This position will support the verification of benefits (verifying benefits, completing documentation needed for admission, collaborating with direct supervisor to expedite verifications), operational needs (assisting with coverage, direct communication with facility management and business development, removing barriers preventing patients from admission), and admissions coordination (assists management with assigning duties pertaining to admissions, follow and ensure each call is answered).

This position will be responsible for the administrative and reporting tasks associated with the admission center including VOB reporting, OPs documentation, and AC reporting. This position will provide support to the admissions center teams (VOB, Ops, AC).

Essential Job Duties:

  • Ensures the day-to-day team requirements and goals are being met with the assigned team by providing ongoing education and training with new and current employees.
  • Manages the on-boarding checklist for all new employees including 30, 60, 90, and 6-month reviews.
  • Monitors the assigned team activities to ensure the team is providing the necessary support, follow-up, and documentation for their assigned facilities.
  • Resolves escalated issues and barriers within the team regarding treatment pertaining to benefits, scheduling, financial and admission approval.
  • Effectively serve and work with patients, families, referral sources, community resources as well as departmental and facility co-workers and management teams.
  • Answer calls, emails and chats associated with the admissions process. Identify needs of each patient and directs to the specific team for proper handling.
  • Assists with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Collaborates with the manager to review and identify trends and issues.
  • Collaborates with referral sources, families, physicians, agencies, and other callers to ensure that requests are effectively handled for transfer and admission.
  • Acts as liaison for admissions center and facility staff during the admission process and daily facility meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate/Equivalent required, Vocational/Technical school Graduate Preferred

1-3 years related experience with at least 6 months transactional experience required.

Core Work Schedule:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Tues/Wed Off) 10am-8:30 pm

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of patient rights.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Exposure to CMR systems.
  • Understanding of verbal and non-verbal cues for those struggling with mental health and addiction.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
