Job Overview

PCX Corporation is looking for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Testing Technician Supervisor to become a part of our rapidly growing company servicing the Data Center, Commercial Construction, and Renewable Energy markets. This position will be based in Knightdale, North Carolina.

A Day In The Life

  • Supervise and lead a team of test technicians, ensuring effective performance, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Oversee the testing of newly developed or modified hardware and software components to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues arising from the testing phase.
  • Manage the calibration, maintenance, and operation of test equipment and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of new test technicians.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting for the testing department.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing technologies and industry trends to continuously improve testing practices and standards.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical testing role, with experience in a supervisory or lead position, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and components.
  • Proficient in using testing tools and software, and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL for low voltage applications
