Job Summary
Under close supervision, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Food and Nutrition Services department including ware washing, pots and pans, floors, floor drains, trash, cardboard compacting, and other cleaning tasks as assigned. Assist with soiled tray removal from patient rooms and designated soiled utility closets. Follows and implements HACCP guidelines. Complies with regulatory agency requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Clean, sanitize, dry patient, retail, and production dishes, utensils, pots and pans according to approved processes (30%)
- Assist in emptying trash bins throughout the department and remove trash at the end of each shift including breaking down cardboard and properly using carboard bailer. (30%)
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station. Completes all cleaning duties per the master cleaning schedule or as assigned. (20%)
- Monitor supply volumes and informs supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly. (20%)
Education:
- No High School Diploma and/or No GED required

- Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time
- Able to move with a sense of urgency and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively
