Job Description The Manufacturing engineer will work onsite (5 days a week) from our Twinsburg, Ohio Office and report to the production manager. Your Responsibilities: As a manufacturing engineering you will
- Develop and update the Manufacturing Plan.
- Design production floor layouts, processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Developing process improvements and technological upgrades.
- Identify opportunities for automation/digitalization and implementation
- Initiate manufacturing technology innovations and oversee the implementation.
- Identify assembly equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements.
- Participate in the procurement, installation, and validation activities.
- Create Documented Manufacturing Instructions (MI).
- Lead cross functional teams to resolve issues that arise during builds.
- Ensure compliance to all production environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Apply engineering problem solving skills and familiarity of Rockwell Automation systems to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Initiate the identification, development and implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projects. May lead a small team to complete these projects.
- Collaborate with or lead others from within and outside of the Manufacturing group to achieve common objectives.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Typically requires 3 years' experience in engineering
- Varied experience in production operations and manufacturing facilities, including responsibility for multiple functional areas within operations
- Ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Constraint analysis and capacity analysis
- Lean and Six Sigma implementation in different areas of the plant
- Ability to influence change and build effective partnerships in a matrix environment
- Experience working in a large global company with responsibility for both direct and indirect reports
- Experience working with discrete assembly processes and new product design/development
- Excellent judgement and respect for confidentiality of information
- Capability for MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of ERP systems/SAP
