About the role

The Logistics Coordinator must be available to work a 12 hour overnight shift 6PM - 6AM on a rotating schedule that includes working every other weekend.

The Logistics Coordinator performs administrative, clerical, and support functions in a fast-paced, high volume (40-50 trucks per day) shipping office. The role of the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for and dedicated to overseeing shipping and receiving deliveries with drivers and agents. The Logistics Coordinator will exhibit great record keeping abilities and customer - oriented approach. Logistics Coordinators understand and adhere to plant procedures and guidelines complying with regulatory requirements that improve processes delivering world class results in the key areas of Line Efficiencies, Quality, and Cost while meeting our high standards of Safety, Customer Service, and Teamwork.

Your responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to internal and external customers, and effectively exchange pertinent information with peers.
  • Prepare necessary domestic and export shipping documents and confirm orders in the appropriate computer system.
  • Complete driver check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Coordinate the flow of finished goods by interfacing with planners, logistics facilities, and carriers, and schedule inbound component deliveries.
  • Coordinate drop lot operations and interface with third-party spotting services.
  • Analyze and correct shipping and receiving discrepancies in the appropriate business system, adhering to quality standards, logistics SOPs, and relevant work instructions.
  • Help develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized, and perform other duties as instructed by the Logistics Area Manager.
  • Be an effective team member by demonstrating positive, effective, and respectful communication and behavior, working effectively in a team-based environment, and managing email communications in a timely manner.

The experience we're looking for

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent (required)
  • 1-2 years' experience in shipping/receiving
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment
  • Works well in a team environment, focused on deliverables
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Basic math, time management, and organizational skills
