Customer Account Coordinator

Location: Remote residing in service area state of DE, MD, PA, OH, VA, NC, GA or FL within one hour of an office location

Your role in our success:

Completes customer intake after receiving requests for commercial, industrial, and residential gas/electrical services. This includes the creation and maintenance of SAP technical master data, a key data element for customer billing.
This role will also coordinate requests and foster business relationships with internal and external parties, including residential, commercial, and industrial customers along with outside contractors to ensure completion of field activities.

What you'll be working on:




  • Creates construction orders or upgrades to service in SAP for construction. Routes orders to appropriate parties such as Field Coordinators, Dispatchers, Planners Schedulers for completion.



  • Communicates with external and internal customers to resolve blockers preventing the completion of Field work such as turn ons, turn offs, or maintenance activities.



  • Executes the creation and maintenance of SAP technical master data (TMD) which includes both premise (address, zip codes and device information such as meter, lighting installation, etc.) and billing related data.



  • Reviews maintenance records to ensure compliance with regulated standards communicating findings to leadership and coordinating any follow field visits to address findings such as creating a service order or reaching out to Operations.



  • Responsible for completion of Field Services SAP exceptions which include but are not limited to exceptions in the TMD creations due to incomplete data from Sales Force.



  • Works with Dispatchers, Planners/Schedulers, and Field Coordinators to ensure construction order accuracy and timeline communication to external customers.



  • Assists Field Services Field Coordinators to ensure that all projects are appropriately monitored while also assisting with lay-out, planning, and communication of project assignments with contractors, engineering, and operations personnel.



  • Reviews SAP reports in regard to disconnect documents and Technical Master Data to ensure accuracy and proper account status and billing information.



  • Assists Operations Engineers / Field Coordinators with any documentation necessary to establish electronic and hard copy project folders that include estimates, bids, descriptions, expenditures, and as-builts.




Who you are:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Required: 2 years of customer service experience or field work, Preferred: 1 years of direct experience, preferably in the gas or electric utility industry.


  • Standard Class D license
  • Knowledgeable of Company safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of company mapping practices and procedures
  • High level of concise and clear communications necessary to establish strong business relationships with customers and outside contractors
  • Basic knowledge of natural gas/electric utility industry.
  • Must be proficient in the use of standard business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows and SAP).
  • Must demonstrate sound communication, business judgement, time management, decision making skills and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse work group/environment.
