Job Summary This role is essential for ensuring the success of a variety of key initiatives within the organization. The primary responsibility is to maintain clear and consistent communication with Co-PIs, senior personnel, and stakeholders to monitor project progress, address issues, and manage the preparation of crucial reports, including annual updates and financial statements. Another significant area involves supporting curriculum development by integrating emerging technologies and ensuring educational materials meet industry standards, while also incorporating innovative approaches and best practices. In addition, the role focuses on expanding the community of practice network by engaging with educational institutions and industry partners to strengthen relationships and align training programs with workforce needs. It also supports K-12 engagement by promoting IT career awareness and dual enrollment opportunities in collaboration with educators and students. Lastly, the role supports performance metrics to assess program impact and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and evolving trends in IT education, especially as they relate to MCCCD outcomes. This position will end on 8/31/2028. Essential Functions 25% - Communication & Reporting: Maintain regular communication with Co-PIs, senior personnel, and key stakeholders to ensure project progress and address any arising issues. Oversee the preparation and submission of all required reports, including annual reports, financial statements, and final deliverables. Attend weekly meetings to provide updates and align team efforts. 25% - Curriculum Development & Emerging Technologies: Support the identification and integration of emerging technologies into the center's curriculum, pedagogy, and SharePoint portal. Assist in the collection and organization of educational materials, ensuring they meet industry standards and are accessible to diverse student populations. Incorporate best practices from previous work and NSF-funded projects, while innovating new approaches tailored to IT sector needs. 15% - Network Expansion & Industry Partnerships: Support efforts to expand the community of practice network by engaging with additional educational institutions, industry partners, and stakeholders across diverse regions. Help strengthen relationships with industry partners to ensure that curriculum and training programs align with workforce needs. Assist in recruiting faculty for events. 15% - K-12 Engagement: Support initiatives aimed at enhancing IT career awareness and dual enrollment opportunities in collaboration with K-12 partners. Assist in building connections with K-12 educators and students to promote pathways into IT careers. 10% - Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess the impact of initiatives on student outcomes, industry engagement, and curriculum effectiveness. Support the team's continuous improvement efforts based on evaluation findings, industry feedback, and emerging trends in IT education, with a focus on MCCCD outcomes. 10% - Additional duties as assigned to assist with grant projects. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one (1) year of full time equivalent experience researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis, and preparing reports. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
