Under the direction of the Clinical Performance Manager this position is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting of hospital core measures and/or Registry (i.e. NSQIP , Action, GWTG ) data to ensure compliance with national, regional, and/or state recognized quality patient care processes and clinical outcomes. The Clinical Performance Analyst may also facilitate medical staff's Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) reporting, Nursing peer review, as well as the Medical Staff peer review process in collaboration with physician committee chairpersons.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years of hospital based clinical experience.
  • Experience with electronic patient records.
  • Experience with data abstraction from an electronic medical record.
  • Current RN license
  • Those assigned to the NSQIP registry will successfully complete ACS NSQIP SCR (Surgical Clinical Reviewer) training/certification program within assigned time frame. Then maintain active SCR certification via annual recertification, as per NSQIP standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Quality Improvement education or training.
  • Data abstraction for core measures or other registry.
  • Experience in quality improvement, outcome measurement
  • Experience with Epic either entering data or viewing patient information
  • Experience as a team facilitator/coach.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
