LCCA currently has exciting opportunities for Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Therapist. The PHP Therapist is responsible for all aspects of resident care and therapy. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
  • Assists law enforcement, family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and involuntary.
  • Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
  • Coordinates discharge planning through the medical staff.
  • Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the community relations program of the organization.
  • Participates in continuous performance improvement activities.
  • Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.

Qualifications

Regulatory Requirements

  • Masters Degree in a behavioral science related field (psychology, social work, human services, or counseling)
  • Current state licensed professional preferred (LPC, LMSW, etc).
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervised clinical behavioral health care experience preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have sufficient language skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately and professionally implement and document the services provided to clients.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Skills:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of psychosocial, cognitive and /or developmental disorders.
  • Ability to visually observe client needs.
  • Possess the ability to work productively and effectively
