Position summary
T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Managers, Software Development located in Atlanta, GA will be responsible to manage delivery accountabilities of vendor and vendor resources as appropriate.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work collaboratively with Product Leadership, Release Train Engineers (RTE's), Product Management to identify and eliminate waste in the delivery cycle or process. Conduct regular 1:1's with the team members. Observe team members in action and provide positive, constructive feedback in a timely manner. Capture regular feedback about direct report performance and relationships, from Agile teams, customer teams and synthesizes the information into meaningful, concrete feedback for their direct reports. Develop formal and informal performance evaluations in accordance with company or P&T driven timelines. Ensure accurate, fair, calibrated, timely completion of formal performance review. Develop and build development. Plan for each direct report and perform an active role in completion of actions noted in those development plans. Additionally, create, communicate, and supervise formal performance improvement plan (PIP) when needed and appropriate. Provide regular, timely mentoring lateral (peer) and upward feedback. Foster culture in the team to enable regular, timely, constructive upward feedback. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with customer and customer representative groups at all levels for self and product team. Hire, lead, and develop a team of successful and impactful individual contributors. Manage resources and monitor quality of work supplied by external vendors. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Skill requirements:
(1) Writing code and building large scale applications in Java and Spring boot that are highly available, secure, and scalable. (2) Utilizing public cloud (AWS/Azure), server-side development, or client-side development to deliver automated infrastructure architectures. (3) Architecting and developing applications with Java, Spring boot, REST architecture (using XML/JSON), Kafka and RMQ. (4) Managing software projects at large organizations with multiple teams using agile management processes and tools (Jira/Confluence). (5) Working with continuous integration and development (CI/CD) methodologies and version control systems including GIT, Gitlab etc.
Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
