Position Description

The Rural program of LISC, Rural LISC, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and organized professional to fill the position of Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will be responsible supporting the Leadership Team and coordinating numerous calls, travel, and operational tasks to further the mission, value, and impact of Rural LISC. This role will collaborate with the entire Rural LISC Team and Rural Advisory Committee in developing and maintaining effective internal and external communications and scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have high level administrative coordination, the ability to handle multiple tasks, be proactive, have excellent oral and written communication skills, works well under pressure, a positive attitude, and the flexibility to work with a wide variety of personalities and professionals located across the country. This position is full-time and reports to the LISC Vice President & Rural LISC Director and works closely with the Rural LISC Deputy Director. The candidate can be located anywhere within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as the direct administrative assistant for the Director of Rural LISC, scheduling all meetings, all travel, expense reports, communicating with internal and external partners as requested, prepping Director for upcoming meetings, and taking minutes and sending follow-ups and tracking progress on the Director's behalf.
  • Support the Rural LISC Deputy Director in managing and organizing all-staff filing systems, contact lists, all-staff meetings and events, and other key efficiency projects and activities.
  • Support the Rural LISC Leadership Team and Leadership Team meetings by scheduling, coordinating agendas and reminders, and sending after action reports and tracking program on actions.
  • Support the Rural Advisory Committee (RAC) by scheduling, coordinating agenda, writing minutes, and sending communications throughout the year to keep RAC updated on activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Rural LISC Director and Deputy Director.



Qualifications



  • Minimum 3+ years' related work experience in administration or community development preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Must be able to both set priorities for a challenging workload and work simultaneously on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship management, and communications skills.
  • Detailed and timely attention to reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse staff and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, timely reporting, and deadlines.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and projects and prioritize a challenging workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Form Assembly, Smartsheet, and other database systems preferred.
  • Work effectively on a "virtual" team, collaborating and communicating with staff both in-person and remotely (e.g. via phone, e-mail, webinar, etc.) is essential.
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 times/year.


Compensation

LISC offers a competitive salary ($47,600 - $59,500) and excellent fringe benefits.

Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
